El Banco, is the sister restaurant of La Red Restaurant on Marbella Paseo both owned by Gustavo Kiguelmam and Laura de Luca. During the week they serve Menu del Dia, all inclusive with a drink for a mere 10 Euros. Needless to say the restaurant nestled on the cobbled streets in the picturesque urbanization Aloha Pueblo, Nueva Andalucía, in the former Barclays Bank building, hence the name El Banco, has become a favourite dining experience for residents and visitors alike. Their chef Giacomo specializes in international Fusion Cuisine. Signature dishes include homemade pasta and desserts, ceviche and Argentinean steaks. Their typical daily menu comprises a variety of light starters from a soup of day such as Gazpacho, to Octopus salad and spring rolls. Main courses are generally a fish dish, a chicken salad or a vegetarian dish with puddings including a mouth-watering chocolate mousse, tiramisu or banoffee pie. All the portions are refreshingly generous. Their A La Carte menu is comprehensive. It is very well chosen with a good selection of fish, meat, pasta, and puddings. El Banco established now for two years appeals to a very varied selection of tastes together with great ambience, modern décor and impeccable service and easy parking.
